This luxury float is a best-kept secret, and as every guide knows, being on the river in the morning offers the best chances at seeing wildlife as they start their day along the Snake River. Eagles are plentiful along this stretch, as are osprey and pelicans. You might catch a marmot on the riverbanks, darting among the rocks, and if you’re lucky, you’ll spy a moose grazing along the water’s edge. Most larger animals bed down in the shade for the heat of the day, so morning is when you’re most likely to catch a glimpse of them in their natural habitat.

This late afternoon tour is wonderfully romantic with a float on the river and appetizers at Tipi Camp. Mammals are usually on the move again and you may catch a glimpse of one of them at the river’s edge. Tipi camp is nestled among the cottonwoods on the far corner of the valley and is a wonderful spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy the solitude of a warm summer afternoon. Although you find yourself outdoors, it is the most luxurious way to spend the afternoon that we can imagine.
Wooden Boat Tour & Dinner
For the ultimate fine dining experience, our evening dinner tour takes the cake. Enjoy a luxury scenic float, in our signature wooden boats, down the braided channels of the Snake River before arriving at Tipi Camp to enjoy appetizers and drinks by the river while you wait for the dinner bell. Dinner is the finest selection of meat and veggies, served seasonally when available, followed by a decadent dessert best enjoyed by the fire in a warm tipi.
