Nature Mapping Wildlife Report for July 9, 2017: Snake River Float Trips

One week, 33 bird species! This week’s Snake River float trips were (as usual) a great one. But what was unusual were some amazingly close Bald Eagle sightings as well as a Red-naped Sapsucker interaction on a nearby bank. It’s exciting to once again see the Spotted Sandpipers finding gravel bars to explore while the Yellow Warblers have probably reached their peak on the river. The Pelican sightings are already getting a bit more scarce, so if you’re looking for an excuse to join us on a float trip now is the perfect time to do it!
