Winter Adventure in Wyoming
Breathe in the crisp mountain air and experience winter in its most timeless form with our Simply Sleigh Ride in Jackson Hole. This fully private experience is reserved exclusively for your party and designed for guests who appreciate simplicity, privacy, and authentic connection to the landscape. Ideal for couples, families, and multi-generational groups seeking a peaceful, elevated winter outing, this classic sleigh ride invites you to slow down, savor the scenery, and enjoy Jackson Hole at its most serene. Reservations are recommended, as availability is intentionally limited to preserve the quality of the experience.
Your journey takes place on a secluded private ranch along the Snake River, where a restored, hand-built wooden sleigh awaits. Pulled by a team of Belgian draft horses, the sleigh glides quietly through snow-covered forest and out onto open riverbanks, revealing sweeping views of the Teton Range, the Gros Ventre Range, and the Snake River Range. The pace is gentle and unhurried, allowing for quiet conversation and uninterrupted immersion in nature. The quiet is profound—broken only by the soft creak of sleigh runners and the steady breath of the horses in the cold mountain air. Along the way, guests may catch a glimpse of local wildlife such as bald eagles or beavers.
Before the ride begins, guests are welcomed to meet the horse team up close. These Belgian draft horses are calm, affectionate, and accustomed to visitors, and many guests enjoy taking time to pet, greet, and photograph them before climbing aboard. Once settled into the sleigh, wool blankets are provided for warmth, while hot chocolate and cookies are served throughout the ride—simple comforts that perfectly complement the outdoor setting.
This experience is intentionally focused on the sleigh ride itself, without stops at camp, offering a pure and uninterrupted connection to the landscape. As the sleigh moves silently through the winter woods near Wilson, the outside world fades away. The Simply Sleigh Ride is not about spectacle—it is about elegance, authenticity, and the quiet joy of experiencing Jackson Hole just as it has been for generations.
